i’ve owned 3 pairs of Mundial Team turfs, and they’ve consistantly been the best shoes i’ve ever owned. i’ve owned everything from the late Lanzera World Class, to Adidas Predators and even the best Nike has to offer…nothing comes close to the amount of feel these shoes have or the control that comes with them. i highly recommend these shoes to anyone who is seeking a high level of touch on the ball, yet only in dry conditions.

Based upon all of the reviews I read here at Amazon, I went ahead and purchased these shoes. I have purchased other turf shoes via the Internet never having an issue (I wear normal 8.5 size shoes). When I first received these I wore them around the house to help break them in. The next day I wore them to referee soccer games. What a mistake. My feet were killing me! The best part of the day was taking them off. I attempted to wear them the next day but again they hurt my feet so I didn’t. It’s now been about two weeks and I tried again. I finally noticed that the this shoe is slightly higher compared to other shoes I’ve been wearing. The sides where the top laces are are slightly higher thereby touching a top portion of my foot. This is where it is uncomfortable. The leather of the shoe is very soft but this portion of the shoe causes discomfort on the top of my foot. I guess I’ve learned the hard way – before spending $100 via the Internet for turf shoes it’s always better to go to a store to try them on first.

The adidas Mundial Team is a top quality football (soccer) boot made with the softest kangaroo leather upper and (for a turf shoes) large spikes. The large spikes are fit for any style pitch – whether indoor, turf or grass. I have used these boots in wet grass and they provided great traction. Only in the wettest of pitches would you need to wear another boot.
With all of the new technology in football boots, the younger generations are being swept up in marketing tactics to sell synthetic uppers and flashy colors. I have spent enough time testing out the newest designs to know that nothing can compete with the comfort, quality and touch of adidas Copa kangaroo leather. Even the adidas adipure III k-leather is not as soft nor does it have the same great ball-touch that the Copa kangaroo leather offers.
I’ve been playing football for over 25 years. My body can’t take the beating that it used to. When I was young, an ex-professional from England gave my teammate a tip. My teammate would get sore feet, ankles and knees while playing. The pro told my teammate to get these Mudial Team turf shoes. Problem solved. Within a few days, my teammate’s feet healed up and he never had problems again.
The advantage of wearing these boots is due to the shorter spikes, greater number of spikes and wider base. When playing on any surface that’s not recently watered, spikes won’t dig into the pitch. Essentially, everyone is running around on stilts. The results is less balance, more fatigue and more chance of injury. Professional pitches are always watered down before matches to keep the ground soft. Most of us are playing on pitches that only get watered when it rains. So most of our time is played on hard ground and bumpy pitches.
Younger players heal must faster and their muscles, tendons and ligaments are more pliable and lubricated. As we get older our tissue loses its elasticity and inflammation heals more slowly. So we have to be more careful choosing our boots. The adidas Mundial Team are especially well suited for older players – all of us playing in adult leagues and pickup games. However, even younger players will benefit from practicing in these boots and switching to traditional FG spikes for matches.
If you search the internet and websites like [...] you will find scores of reviews praising the adidas Mundial Team. Most players who gives these boots a try, never go back to other cleats. The kangaroo leather is top quality, the touch is superb, and the height is actually lower than FG spiked boots so there is no problem kicking the ball. These boots may very well be the most comfortable boots you’ve ever tried. Granted, they are a little heavier than other FG boots, but the difference will go unnoticed except by a striker who depends on speed.
The craftsmanship of the entire line of adidas Copa boots (Copa Mundial, Mundial Team, World Cup) is top rate. These boots are still made in Germany, not China like most other boots. The Mundial Team uses glue and stitching to keep the outsole and the upper together. Plus, the double layer of leather at the toe and the rubber toe gaurd. The toe is where most boots start separating, sometimes within a few months. It is common for these Mundial Teams to last 3 years or more. I’ve even read a review where his boots lasted 10 years!
In my search for the best football boot, the adidas Mundial Team offers it all. Be sure to clean and oil your boots with Chelsea Leather Food or Adidas Neutral Leather Balsam, Transparent, NS to keep the leather soft and moist.

Adidas Mundial Turf is one of the classics for football players with fine leather and nice design. It fits perfectly to your feet and ideal for total control of the ball. I wish it was a little bit cheaper, but quality does not come cheap. This is a very quality model and is worth every penny you spend on. But you should not buy if you have wide feet. Unlike Puma Adidas designs mostly for regular feet.

Due to a supreme court decision in 2007, it appears that this product cannot be shipped to california. I’ve asked amazon customer service to tag this product with that information.
